Cliff Castle Casino

We were tired of running the roads after yesterday and decided to take it easy today.  There were some chores around the motor home that needed to be done and we took our time doing them.

A new neighbor parked next to us today and it was amusing to watch their antics.  The park owner and the wife of the man driving the truck both were giving instructions to the poor driver.  It looked like a Chinese fire drill and it took them about 30 minutes to get the 5th wheel parked.  Even then, it was at an angle and was crooked on the site.  I think he finally said it was good enough and stopped.

We decided to go to the local Apache Indian Casino here in the area.  It's called the Cliff Castle Casino and looked very nice inside.  Gerry got her slots fix and had a good time.  She wound up leaving more money there and I also donated $10 to the casino.  We did have a good time and finally decided it was time to go to dinner.

We couldn't find the dinner buffet and decided to go into town to a local restaurant.  We drove by the La Fonda on Sunday and they were mobbed with the parking lot full.  That was all the advertisement we needed and went there this evening.  It is a simple restaurant without a lot of charm, but once again it was crowded.  We both enjoyed our meals and Gerry said it was a decent Margarita.   As usual, they serve more food than a person can eat and we stuffed ourselves.  They included sopapillas with the dinner and we enjoyed them with honey.

Since it is Tuesday and NCIS night on TV, we went home so we wouldn't miss them again.  The NCIS LA program had a political bias toward a local politician who supported the Occupy movement.  It is amazing how political the programs are now days.

It's getting late and I'm tired, so this will be a short edition.
