Slow Days

Wow, things have slowed down around here.  We've been taking it easy around the park and not doing much interesting to write about.  Sort of like living in a sticks and brick home and having slow days.

We did hear from Larry & Jane about their purchase of a house.  It sounds like quite a house with a lot of room.  They did think ahead and there is a place to park the motor home in their driveway.  It seems we are in the area when the Nascar races are going on at the Charlotte Motor speedway and rv parking spaces are few and far in between.  Congratulations you guys.

Air Force Thunderbirds

Sunday we had some visitors and they were really loud, but well behaved.  The airshow was in town this past weekend and Saturday it was rainy and lousy all day.  Sunday was clear and the show attracted over 100,000 visitors.  We didn't go since they didn't provide bus service to the base and the parking areas were a long way from the flight line.  

Tonight was spaghetti dinner night at the clubhouse and they had a nice crowd there for the dinner.  Not like when all the snowbirds are here, but great considering the few who are left.  The dinner was very good and the company great.

Gerry had her eye doctor appointment today and is finished with that for 6 months.  They were late getting her in and I asked what the problem was.  Well, they had skipped or forgotten her.  I won't express what we had to say since this is a pg blog.
