There have been changes to the physical part of the park also, including adding larger luxury sites and now they are planting 100 palm trees in the entrance road and some inside the park. They delivered some of the trees this morning and already are planting them. I awoke to this sight early this am.

We bought a Tom Tom XXL gps a few years ago and it was time to load a newer mapping system. The XXL came with free uploads for the life of the system. A full download is almost 2 gig of data and takes forever on my Verizon aircard and in addition uses up 2/5 of my monthly allowance. Hence, the trip to the local library. They had a section where you can bring in your own PC and use their free wireless hookup. I am glad that I did this since it took almost 1 hour to download the data and then install it on the Tom Tom. I finished up with the process about 5 minutes before Gerry came to pick me up.
A number of years ago we went into the local library on Captiva Island, FL to pick up our email and that is when we ran into the most uncooperative and nasty librarian we have ever seen. At that time you had to sign up for computer time and God forbid you go over by 5 seconds. The librarian resented that we lived outside of Florida and had the nerve to ask to use their computers. I explained that if she came to Maryland she was welcome to use the Library computer there and she got even nastier. What a difference from the attitude there and the one in Tucson. Here they were helpful and even cheerful when you asked them a question.
Those palms going to block your view?
ReplyDeleteNo, they won't block our view. They are grouping them in the front entrance off of Houghton and then spreading them up the 1/2 mile entrance road. Plus, a few are going in the median strip in the park. Should be very pretty when they grow up.
