Craft show and computers

The park sponsored a craft show today at the Rec Center and Gerry went up there to check it out.  They had a lot of crafts that Gerry makes herself and she decided that she didn't need more of the stuff.  Whew, I dodged a bullet this time.

Allen B came over with his new Toshiba laptop and I transferred his data to the new computer.  I also set it up and downloaded AVG anti-virus software.  My new toy that I purchased in Arlington, TX came in handy again.  I took his hard drive out of the old laptop and inserted it in the docking station and then was able to attach it to his new computer as an external disk drive.  It was simple to transfer the files and it went off very well.  Money well spent.

It started out windy and then was  sunny and nice for the most part until the clouds moved in.  The wind had died down a bit so overall it was a nice day out here in the desert.

Just another day in paradise.  We used to hear that on the radio in the Florida Keys about 20 times a day when we stayed there in the winter.   Now paradise is so expensive that it would be prohibitive to spend 3-4 months down there.  It was nice while it lasted.

Ron & Dee K came by this afternoon for a visit and Gerry chatted with them while I worked on the computer.  They had a nice visit and left just ahead of Allen, so it was back to working on the Christmas cards.  Hopefully we can get them in the mail on Sunday.
