Another workday & Paraguay

We slept in a bit today and then started to move more valuable things from the Southwind to the Bus.  I spent most of the time packing things and bringing them over to the Bus and Gerry put them in the proper space.  This went on for hours and we made significant progress on getting out of here.

We ran out of water and I went over to the outlet and hose provided by Lazydays to fill our fresh water tank.  The hose has to be over 200 feet long and it took about 5 minutes to run the water and let the hot and stale water clear it.  The pressure wasn't that strong, so I was able to crimp the hose and then attach it to the inlet valve.  I took on about 40 gallons of water and that should last us until we leave.

I did take some time out to take some pictures of the transfer between the motorhomes.

See, it's ours!
Straight on shot.

Side by side beauties.

We worked until about 7:30pm and then decided to call it a day.  We made a lot of progress and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Gerry was about to start the dinner fixing when we had a knock on the door.  There was a man outside speaking in Spanish and seemed to have a problem.  We figured out that he wanted to borrow a socket wrench to fix his trailer jack on the new unit he just bought.  His unit was across the road from us so we went over there with my tool box and helped him out.  His jack was broken and we took it off and he called the salesman and was told to go a couple rows over and take one off the unit there.  That worked.

There were two couples and a single man who were together and the single guy spoke English, but we mostly talked to the others in Spanish.  They were from Paraguay and had bought a 4-Winds Class C and a travel trailer and were going to drive down to Paraguay from here.  First they were going to Disneyworld for a visit and then head west to California and eventually down through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.  From Panama they will take a Ferry boat ride to Columbia and then drive down the west coast of South America.  What an adventure that will be for them.  I suggested they buy a couple spare tires for their rigs and keep their air pressure up.  The man who bought the trailer also bought a brand new diesel pickup truck.  I hope it all turns out great for them.

Gerry was talking to the ladies and one of them gave here a nice little gift for us helping them out.   It had the three colors of the Paraguay flag on the souvenir and made out of a silkworm material.  They were using some Spanish words that stretched our comprehension of the language.  In any case, it is a nice souvenir.

We plan on finishing up on Sunday and get out of here Monday morning after the early morning traffic.  That is the plan as of now.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
