Happy New Year

Gerry and I went to the rec center tonight to bring in the new year.  It started off really well and we had a nice time.  At 10pm we received calls from Cassie and family and a few minutes later from Larry Jr & Jane.  They both have called us every New Years eve for the last 20 years or more.  Larry Jr. would call us at midnight when we lived in Costa Rica and he was out celebrating.  It's always nice to talk to the kids.

New Years Eve 2012-2013

After 10pm and the ball dropping in New York the party started to break up.  WOW!  It was still early but everyone started out the door and that was the end of the party.  We stayed after 11pm and finally decided it was time to go home. 

Judy and Steve came by after the party and visited with us until almost 2pm.  We watched the tv shows with all the entertainers from Hollywood and I only heard of two of them.  Fergie & Justin Bieber.  I don't know if it is my hearing or what, but I couldn't understand what they were singing about on almost all of the groups.  What happened to singing words that are understandable?  We had a nice visit and they picked up their flashlight and went home in the 29 degree weather.  Brrrrrrr.
