We lucked out last night and the strong winds died down a little after midnight. Actually, we would have like for them to die down a little and allow us to enjoy the breeze coming into the motor home. Once the winds died down, the temperature started to rise. We started the a/c early today and left it on as we drove.
It was an uneventful driving day today and we listened to an audio book almost the total time we were on the road. Every once in a while we get hooked listening to a book and hate to stop for the day. This was such a day, but we finally had to turn it off as we got closer to our destination in Kerrville. We are staying at a Passport America park called By The River RV Park & Campground. It is located right on the Guadalupe River. The park owns a large Island in the river and has bike trails and tent camping there.
We did stop for fuel in Ozona, TX and had to drive around a neighborhood in order to enter a small gas station. We lucked out and got an end pump which made it easier to fuel up. Gas was $3.65/gal so that wasn't so bad. Ozona is near where we got hammered in a hailstorm last year. Hailstorml No hailstorm this time and we breezed through the area.
We are enjoying a little happy hour time and getting ready for dinner. As a matter of fact, Gerry just called me for dinner. Got to go.
